Find a Mentor

Jake feels like he’s reached a point where he really needs help to get out of his own way. What he’s been doing is just not working anymore. He needs a Mentor.

Nikki is looking to change careers from consulting to financial advising, but doesn’t know how to approach the transition. She needs a Mentor.

Mandy is going independent for the first time and wants to make sure she’s approaching it right. She needs a Mentor.

Where do they go?

Many organizations offer an internal mentoring program. This helps with basic career advice and changing to another service line within the organization. However, in all of those scenarios, they need to find someone outside of their organization.

Jake needs to find someone outside of his organization because he doesn’t feel comfortable talking to someone internally about the challenges he’s facing. He doesn’t want to be perceived as weak at work or appear to not know what he’s doing. Even a Mentor outside of his immediate team has connections to his leadership.

Nikki needs a Mentor outside of her organization because it’s not a service that’s offered where she currently works.

Mandy doesn’t have an organization with those services anymore and doesn’t know another person that’s done independent contracting.
